Established in 1912 as the most time-honored, internationalized and diversified bank in China, Bank of China (“BOC” or “the Bank”) has branches and institutions located in 64 countries and regions all over the world. Established upon the approval of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China in 2006, the BOC Postdoctoral Research Center (“the Center”) can recruit postdoctoral researchers on its own or in cooperation with other research institutions.
It hereby recruits postdoctoral fellows graduating with a Ph.D degree in 2025 from institutions in China or Overseas, Related matters are hereby announced as below:
I. Applicant Eligibility
1. Fresh postdoctoral graduates who graduate from universities in China between 1st Jan 2025 to 31st July 2025 or fresh postdoctoral graduates who graduate from universities overseas, between 1st July 2024 to 31st July 2025.
2. Major in Economics, Finance, Law, Sociology, Mathematics and Statistics,or related disciplines.
3. Proficient in the fields of Macroeconomics, International Finance, Banking, Legal & Compliance, Financial Risk, Pension, Green Finance, etc. Demonstrates strong ability in research methodologies and good command in spoken & written English.

1. Research on How the Changes in Geopolitical Environment Will Impact the Global Trade and Investment Landscape.
2. Research on the Evolution of the Global Fiscal Policy Framework and the Monetization of Fiscal Deficits.

(Applicants are required to choose one of the aforesaid research topics to write down their research proposal, in 3,000-5,000 words.)
III. How to Apply

(2) Scanned copies of two letters of recommendation letters from advisors or other researchers who know the applicant well (Appendix 2).
(3) Scanned copies of doctorate degree certificate and diploma or scanned copies of documents issued by the accredited universities to prove that the applicants will obtain the doctorate degree before the start of postdoctoral fellowships. For applicants who have obtained their doctorate degree from universities outside mainland China , the certificate of recognition of foreign academic degree issued by the Ministry of Education is required.
(4) Electronic copy of the doctoral dissertation (final version or first draft);
(5) Scanned copies of two published academic research papers;
