China's First Credit Card Bearing Chinese Dragon Pattern
Issuance Time: 1993 |
Basic Introduction: Bank of China Singapore Branch issued Visa Dragon Card and MasterCard Dragon Card in September 1993, signaling the overseas expansion of the issuance of China's credit cards. |
Card Face Description: Against dark green and golden yellow backgrounds respectively, the both cards bear the image of a traditional Chinese dragon with freely stretching limbs and an easy demeanor. This was the first time that the traditional Chinese dragon pattern was printed on a credit card, long predating the Dragon Card issued by China Construction Bank. |
